Its a total rip off - they ring, you pick up and the call just ends straight away. Feels really dodgy when your a lonely pensioner so you try call back - they cut off again - try once more and same thing happens. This is clear scam and honestly, its on you lot for letting this rubbish carry on. Get it banned and make it against the law.

Somebody rang me saying they were from Three and wanted to upgrade my contract. I almost fell for it, but decided to look it up here while still on the phone - glad I did before handing over any bank info. It seemed fishy since they promised 1000 mins every month to call mobiles, even to the UAE, which usually costs like £2.50 a minute! Definitely sounded too good to be real. Just block these calls!

I had a good inkling that this was a dodgy setup from the get-go, so I decided to humour them for a while. Out of the blue, they whisked me away to a 'supervisor' for no apparent reason-likely someone more adept at spinning their yarn, thinking they'd finally snagged me since I hadn’t hung up. Suddenly, the connection dropped, only for them to ring me back almost immediately from a different number-020 8772 4488, no less. They went on about being representatives from Curry’s, attempting to peddle a mobile phone package for a rather hefty £40 a month, all while fishing for my personal information.

This bloke had the audacity to claim that I could enjoy a 40% reduction on my existing O2 plan, supposedly as a reward for my loyalty. He then requested a code that had been sent to my mobile. I was indeed an O2 customer, but let me tell you, this caller was definitely not a legitimate O2 representative! Just a cunning con artist trying to get his hands on my personal and account details!

this guy who phoned was so stubborn. i told him i wasn't the person he wanted but he just wouldn't listen and said i was fibbing! i tried to ask if it was about work but he cut me off, demanding my name. the more i said no, the nastier he got so i ended the call. keeps ringing from this number, really hope it stops soon!

Got a call from someone claiming to be 02, saying they'd give me a discount if I shared a code sent to my mobile. Thing is, I'm not even an 02 customer, and the message came with a fraud alert. So, I decided to mess with the guy a bit. I kept feeding him bogus codes, acted all desperate for the discount and even pretended to cry about wanting it. After a good 10 minutes, he finally caught on that I wasn’t serious and slammed the phone down, clearly annoyed. Bet some folks might fall for this trick, though.

Got a call from ’02 claiming they'd give me a discount if I shared the code they supposedly sent to my phone. I’m not even with ’02 and the code came with a fraud alert, so I decided to mess about a bit. I kept feeding them random numbers, acted like I was desperate for the discount and even sounded upset about it. After about 10 minutes, they finally realised I wasn’t interested and ended the call all annoyed. I can see how some folks might fall for this kind of thing, though.

i got some dodgy stuff from ideal world. it took nearly 4 months and like 38 emails going back and forth which i saved so i could keep reminding them. dealt with about 19 different people, all with asian subcontinent names and accents, even recorded some calls. at first they refused to give me a refund till i got in touch with citizens advice and then mentioned an advice ref number and the legal bits. after 4 months i finally got my £600 back - never buying from them again!
