Just like loads of others, I got a call from TalkTalk. I told them I work in this field and explained there was no mistake on my end, that it was clearly a scam and I was going to report it to the cops. They just ended the call straight away!

This number 0128383578 kept ringing me non stop, like proper annoying, I think I got about 22 calls in just two days! It sounded like some kind of robot on the line. Honestly, best to just ignore them, they're really pushy.

I got a call from someone claiming to be BT, but I didn’t give them any details. I asked for my BT account number, and the woman on the line got rude and then just ended the call. Despite that, they rang me about five more times today, even though I ignored every call after that. Such a nuisance!

We've been getting repeated calls from the number 01818894555, with someone saying they're from BT and that there's an issue with our copper broadband they want to sort out. When my wife mentioned we don’t actually have copper broadband, the woman on the other end started chuckling and called her a liar, which was pretty rude. Every caller seems to have an Asian accent and they all get quite nasty if you question them. Oddly enough, they mostly ring when my wife answers the phone; if I pick up, they usually just hang up straight away.

Over the past couple of days, I've had three calls from someone saying they're with BT and trying to sell me a new router. They wanted to get into my computer to "improve security" or something like that. The first woman got a bit cheeky and just said "good luck" when I told her it sounded like a scam. The second bloke just cut the call off. The third one actually backed off when I mentioned I'd involve the police. I've already flagged the whole thing to BT through Twitter.

I've had this number ring me like 7 times just today. Luckily, I've got caller ID so I didn’t bother picking up. I’m really happy I looked it up here to see what others said about it. Cheers for the feedback, I’m definitely not gonna answer next time.

Same here, got calls from that number about four times today. I played along for like thirty minutes acting like some daft old woman who had no idea what a router even was, probably cos she never uses the internet. Had a good laugh messing with them.

i keep getting calls claiming to be from bt but they never use my name. even when i tell them to stop calling, they just keep ringing back. the number (018188945553) looks very close to another one mentioned earlier (01818894553), makes me think they’ve got a block of numbers. i’ve flagged it as suspicious. honestly, it’s really annoying since they call loads of times, sometimes just hanging up and being rude. would be really interesting to find out where they’re calling from.

Someone rang saying they were from BT and wanted to get into the computer to sort out an issue. Luckily, the missus was on the ball and said absolutely not. The lady on the other end got really annoyed and just cut the call. Since then, they've been phoning every twenty minutes today and when I pick up, no one answers. I’ve tried blocking the number but it’s not working. Planning to call BT proper to see if they can help. Definitely a scam - don’t fall for it!
