Got a call showing Tomatin on my phone, which I know is a tiny place up in Scotland. But the person on the line was an Indian lady who claimed she was ringing from Carphone Warehouse. When I told her I only understand Swahili, she just ended the call straight away.

I’ve been getting calls from about 24 different numbers, all linked to the same scam, ever since someone pretending to be from O2 Customer Support tricked me. Initially, they offered to cut my monthly bill in half, but it turned out to be a con. I ended up with a £1,000 iPhone and a device contract I never asked for or wanted. They even tried to get the phone back, claiming it was sent by accident. Luckily, by then I had caught on and sent the phone back through official O2 routes, and thankfully, my original contract was restored.

Someone with an Indian accent called me offering 20% off my O2 bill, but honestly, I could hardly catch what he was saying. I just replied that it sounded great considering prices are rising all over, then I hung up. Right after, my phone buzzed again, but this time the number showed up as Newquay, Cornwall! Either they’re incredibly quick travellers or it’s dodgy. I’m guessing it's a scam.

Got a call from someone supposed to be EE, saying they wanted to offer me a better deal on my phone contract. Their voice was really muffled, so I asked them to say it again. Then they wanted to know who my current provider was. I asked them to prove they were actually EE since they just said that. They got quite dodgy about it, so I mentioned they were calling from an 01808 number, which didn’t sound right. They just hung up after that.

I picked up but didn’t even say hello and the call just cut off. The number showed up flagged as possible fraud. Like others have mentioned, I definitely don’t have an O2 account. I’m convinced this is some kind of scam.

I got a call from some scammer on this number, sounding like he had a thick Asian accent, saying he was John from Carphone Warehouse - which I know for a fact never calls people out of the blue. I told him straight up I wasn’t daft and that he was just a fraud from India or somewhere, and he hung up sharpish. Honestly, something really should be done to put a stop to these cheats.

I had a rather unexpected phone call from a chap purporting to be called John, claiming to represent Carphone Warehouse. Now, mind you, they never engage in unsolicited marketing, so something seemed amiss. I straightaway told him he was up to no good and wasn’t about to be taken in by his antics. He hung up in a jiffy!

Got a call from some bloke with a thick Asian accent, said he was John from Carphone Warehouse - funny, that company never contacts folks by phone. Told him straight I’m not daft and that he’s just a scammer from Calcutta. He hung up sharpish after that. These scammers really need stopping, they’re a right pain.

Got a call from some personal injury solicitors pushing me to file a bogus claim for an injury I never had. It's beyond me why the people running these firms aren't locked up or struck off for being part of this scam. Just goes to show how rubbish our justice system is at shielding ordinary folks and how it seems better at lining the pockets of dodgy lawyers.

I answered and said hello a few times, then suddenly the caller started spouting some weird, computerised nonsense before just hanging up. Feels like it was trying to record my voice or something. Proper sketchy if you ask me.
