Twice now I’ve gotten those automated calls from Falcon and Pointer, mentioning a bank account I’ve never even opened. Already flagged it to the ICO. Isn’t this meant to be against the rules, especially when you’re on the TPS list like me? Such a nuisance!

Had a couple of calls about wrongly sold PPI now. Tried reaching out through their website but my message just wouldn’t send. I’ve also reported it to TPS and ICO. The calls came from Falcon and Pointer, Swansea.

This number keeps ringing my elderly mum. After some dodgy calls before, I told her not to pick up unless she’s waiting for someone. I found the number by using 1471. One time, I did answer and the bloke started talking about a bank refund, so I just hung up. Mum’s on the TPS, but honestly, reporting it feels pointless as they never seem to do anything about it.

I got a call from 01792 917637 earlier today with a recorded voice telling me my bank supposedly charged me too much and I could claim it back within 8 weeks. It said to hit 1 if I’d already contacted the bank or 9 if not. I didn't press anything of course! Feels like they were trying to trick me into calling a pricey number and racking up big charges.

I make sure to report all these unwanted calls straight to the ICO through their site. The ICO has been cracking down and fining firms like this lately, but they really need more people to report. At about 9.05 this morning, I got a call from 01792917637. I’m always suspicious of numbers I don’t recognise, so I answered with a simple ‘Hello?’. Straight away, it switched to an automated message. I stayed on the line, hoping there'd be an option to press a button to opt out or stop further calls. The message claimed I was owed a refund for bank charges and told me to press 5 to claim it, but it didn’t say which bank was supposed to be giving me this money. I hung up once it finished. Don’t be fooled by this nonsense - it’s clearly a scam.

Checked their website, it’s www.falconandpointer.com. Bit confusing that they’re using a different trading name on the phone.
