I received a call from this number today. The chap on the other end said he represented an insurance firm and was eager to chat about my life insurance policy. I promptly informed him that I don’t hold any such policy, nor do I have any interest in taking one out. Before I could say anything more, he simply terminated the call.

(2 of 2) Basically, when the business is closed down, there’s no money left, so any forms you fill out to get paid are pointless. Don’t bother wasting your time. One of these firms was showing a debt of around £100,000 on paper! Nothing stops these people from setting up new businesses and pulling the same trick over and over. On 21st December 2016, Darren Palmer and Stephen Davies pulled the same stunt again. They’ve shut down their firm and disappeared with the cash. Their employees were meant to get paid on that day, leaving them with no money for Christmas gifts, food, and in some cases, even rent or mortgage bills. I was duped back in mid-June when I forked out £699 for surveys on a pair of properties, thinking I was getting a £50 discount (what a joke!). The surveys were completed, but since then, the results have been MIA, and my attempts to reach REC Home Audits have been futile. It's now in the courts of the bank’s section 75 team to sort this mess out.

It seems they’ve been hit with a raid, and all those involved have been taken in on fraud charges. After reaching out to trading standards, they verified this troubling information. They’ve suggested I speak to my bank to reclaim any funds I’ve lost. I intend to share this information far and wide through as many forums as I can, as it's absolutely outrageous to exploit someone who is already vulnerable. What a disgraceful act!

Got a call today from someone claiming to be from 'Home Deliveries' and asking for me by my full name. I told the caller I was in the lantern room up at the lighthouse and that I would send someone down to get me. Just as I was about to play the next trick - putting him on hold with a never-ending loop of a robotic Greensleeves tune - the caller hung up!

I've had numerous conversations with this firm regarding a refund, but after they pocketed my £300, they’re adamant about not returning my money. They claim, "you received your documents by recorded delivery and sent them back open, hence no refund will be issued." Well, let’s see how that plays out. These fools have effectively swindled my disabled husband and me, and I demand restitution. I even made the trip to their office, but surprise surprise, it was shuttered. My next course of action will be to enlist my bank's help in reversing the transaction. Steer clear of them! I refuse to give up until justice is served. I received a call from someone wanting to chat with my wife about getting a new boiler installed. Naturally, I inquired where he had got my number. He mentioned that it came from a firm that my wife had done a survey with. I let him know that I generally steer clear of surveys, as they usually lead to annoying cold calls like this one. He then insisted on speaking with my wife and probed me about my role in the home. I had to inform him that my wife had sadly passed away nearly three years ago, which meant the company that sold him my information was clearly missing the mark regarding their data, and I'd assume they had paid for such misleading details. Yet, in spite of what I shared, he carried on, getting quite confrontational, pushing me on why I wasn't keen on a new boiler and why I didn’t take part in surveys. Frustrated by his attitude, I eventually hung up.

Indeed, I received a call around 9 o'clock this morning. Thankfully, I wasn’t on a night shift! They rang again at 12:40. You can listen to the voicemail, and just as it's about to finish, it suggests you send an email to opt out. But honestly, don’t waste your time-this doesn't seem to have any effect. For those we actually wish to communicate with, we’ve stored their names and numbers in the phone’s memory, so when they ring, their details pop up just like on a mobile. Consequently, our policy has become simple: if there's no name showing, we simply let it ring! Plus, there’s no voicemail to contend with, meaning they can’t leave any annoying pre-recorded messages; it’s rather delightful!

I've been receiving persistent, unwelcome phone calls that come across as rather aggressive. Upon mentioning that I'm registered with the preference service, the caller dismissively remarked that it was of no consequence. When I expressed my discontent with these unsolicited interruptions, he attempted to make a joke by saying, "it's not cold calling; it’s warm outside today!" Had a call come through at 09:40 on the 8th of June 2015, but unfortunately, I was out and about. I've made several attempts to ring back on the number (01792 917639), yet I’m met with the response stating, "The number you dialled is not in service".
