Got a call where the person just kept yelling hello hello hello really loudly and then hung up.

Got a call out of the blue about some injury compensation I supposedly had. Thing is, I never got hurt or filed any claim. When I chose to talk to someone and asked who they were with, the bloke just hung up on me. My phone number is ex-directory and I’m on the TPS, but these cold calls seem to be increasing lately.

This number keeps phoning me multiple times every day, each time asking for a different person supposedly living at my place, and the caller's identity changes too. The latest call claimed to be from a claims management firm saying they got my contact from some third party about a car accident involving my son. I wonder how on earth these muppets manage to get my number when it’s meant to be unlisted. They rang up saying it was some kind of legal requirement for a home heat check, like it’s a government order or something. Complete nonsense, if you ask me.

How many of the folks moaning about TPS being pointless have genuinely filed a complaint with them? I’ve done so myself before, and they’ve not only dealt with mine but also others’, leading to those companies getting fined. So, before slagging off the TPS, at least try lodging a complaint first. Also, keep in mind that legal action in these matters takes time, especially until there’s a decent number of complaints to build a case.

I got a call from 01792211844 with some recorded bloke calling himself something like "Haddon Injury". He was pushing me to claim money for an accident I never had. These scammers are a nightmare. It’s maddening how useless the authorities are at tracking these con artists. Reporting to TPS and ICO feels completely pointless. Maybe the only way is to play along with them, just to try and catch them with some real evidence at last.

I just called this number back and got a voicemail that said it’s from a marketing or telesales company. They mentioned they might call again but there’s no need to worry. They also said you can press 9 to opt out or sign up with TPS to block these calls. Thing is, I’m already signed up with TPS, so not sure how they’re still allowed to ring me!
