This bloke claimed to be Harry Smith from some funeral firm. He wanted to know if I'd arranged anything for my funeral. I'm only 22 and told him I wasn’t interested, asked him to remove me from their calls, then he just cut me off. I've blocked the number now.

A bloke said his name was Zac Stone, but he had a strong Asian accent, from some firm called Accident Management Solutions. He tried to say he was ringing about an accident we’d been in, but when we said no, he quickly switched up and asked if someone had been involved in an accident in the past 18 months. Then he thanked us for our time, which just felt like a waste on his end. Definitely a dodgy call.

Got a call from someone saying they were from a car insurance firm, saying I was owed money after a crash. When I questioned him about using my maiden name instead of my current one, he suddenly got really rude, saying I wasn't listening and asking how he knew I was married. I told him I wasn't interested, then he went on to call me a racist animal (he was South African) and just hung up. I can't understand how questioning him about my name and refusing to engage makes me some kind of racist!

I had a rather frustrating conversation with someone named Sam from the accident investigation team regarding a so-called no-fault accident I supposedly experienced. When I pressed her on where she obtained this information, her only reply was something vague about it being sourced from the "accidents database." It was quite infuriating! Before I could challenge her statement further, she abruptly ended the call-truly lacking in perseverance, those scammers!

Got a call from someone who said they had my email and mentioned I had asked for a call back. I got my daughter to answer it and could hear them chatting. The woman on the line asked if she could speak to me, so I took the phone. Then she told me not to get my daughter to answer and just hung up. Strange behaviour!

Some bloke pretending to be from A S rang me, saying I was in a car crash. He sounded South African and got really nasty when I called him out for being a scammer. After that, he kept ringing me, shouting my old address and trying to scare me. Looks like he found something in me he didn’t expect coz he said he’d call back later. Got a call from 01789 629473, said it was AMS Insurance telling me I’d been in an accident. I told them straight away I hadn’t, and asked why they were pushing me to make some dodgy claim. I even asked how they got my number in the first place. The worst bit? The lady with a foreign accent just hung up on me! I thought about ringing back to give them a piece of my mind but then figured it might be a Premium Rate number that could charge me a fortune per minute, so I gave it a miss. Proper annoying!

got a call from a number i didnt recognise. i picked up but just left the phone down without saying anything. a guy with a clear indian accent kept asking for me by name a couple of times. i stayed quiet and then he asked if i could hear him. after about 48 seconds, he finally seemed to understand that he was the one wasting time and money, so he ended the call and moved on to bother someone else.

i picked up but stayed quiet like i normally do with numbers i don’t know. then a woman said, ‘hello, is that dave? hello?’ She asked a couple of times but gave up and hung up since i didn’t answer. So staying silent was definitely the right move. Just a heads up: don’t trust the location that shows on your caller ID. It can be totally fake. The number might seem local but the actual call could be routed through a server far away, maybe in a country with little or no telecom rules, like spain.
