11 monthsSome bloke with a really strong African accent called me, but I couldn’t quite catch what he was saying. I think he mentioned something about tv repairs or maintenance, which made me chuckle. When I tried ringing the number back, it didn’t show up as recognised.12 monthsJust got a call a few minutes ago from a guy with a heavy accent saying he was from Sky Property Services. I could hear lots of noise like a busy call centre in the background. He kept going on about my Sky service renewal, but I’ve never had anything with Sky before. He was pretty pushy, saying I must be mistaken and tried to get me to give my mobile so he could send me a copy of some contract I supposedly signed. I wasn’t having any of it and ended the call. Blocked the number from my landline straight away.Sky Property ServicesSky12 monthsIt was definitely one of those TV repair scams. I played along by letting her hear my washing machine and some music for a bit before I just ended the call 😄12 monthsGot a call from 01789224781 about some TV repair scam. Be careful, could be a con.12 monthsOn a Saturday afternoon, I got a call from someone claiming to be from Sky. I just said the office must be shut since it's the weekend! I don’t even have a TV, so that was a bit weird. There was definitely that typical call centre chatter going on in the back.Sky1 yearThe person on the other end spoke with a strong accent and there was a lot of noise in the background like a call centre. They kept mentioning something about fixing a television. After I asked about it a couple of times, the call just got cut off.1 yearOn June 11th, I got a call saying my Sky TV insurance was about to expire and they could sort it out for me. I asked where they got that info from because it wasn’t right, but the person just kept going on about it. Eventually, they gave up before I could, probably seeing I wasn’t budging.Sky1 yearI got a call from this number saying my Sky gear insurance had expired. They quoted me a price and I asked if it could be cheaper. They dropped the price a bit, but I still said no and told them to cancel it. Then they mentioned there’d be a cancellation fee. I said I wasn’t paying that, and they claimed it was in the contract. I told them they were trying to scam me. They told me to mind my language, and I shot back saying they hadn’t a clue about my setup and were the real scammer. Then they just hung up.Sky1 yearOn the 4th of June 2025, I got a call saying I’d apparently agreed to some kind of contract to swap out SKY TV gear. I told them I’d never signed up for that insurance and wasn’t interested at all. Then they said if I wanted to cancel, there’d be some kind of penalty fee. Quite annoying!Submit Your Own Report (01789 224781)
