Why on earth would I share my personal info with a stranger! I asked the woman who she was and where she was calling from, but she just kept pushing for my details before telling me anything about herself or how she got my number. She outright refused to say anything and kept pestering me for my date of birth, full name, and address! Kept getting automated calls to ring this number (Aventis looks like a legit debt collection company working with the DVLA). Eventually I gave in and called them back. Chatted with a friendly guy who told me my number was linked to someone else's account, a person I don't know. The only thing he asked was my name to check I wasn't the account holder, which I wasn’t. He said he took my number off their system and apologised for the mix-up. The call lasted about 2 minutes. I’ll see if they phone again but everything sounded above board to me.
