Just got a call, definitely a scammer.

Some bloke rang claiming to be from BT OpenReach saying there was an issue with my line. I hadn’t reported any faults and everything seemed fine on my end. He asked if he could link a BT server to my laptop to run some checks. I told him that sounded dodgy and asked for his number so I could ring him back. He said he got why I was wary but insisted it was the only way to find the problem.

Received a call that was completely silent, not a peep in the background.

Had my fourth scam call today, this one pretending to be from BT tech support. I thanked the person for the info but made it clear I wasn’t going to do what they said. Pretty sure it was just another con job.

I get calls all the time from this number, claiming to be TalkTalk's tech support. They always tell me to press 1, but I’m pretty sure it’s not legit. I’m with TalkTalk too, but I don’t trust these calls at all.

Got a call from someone acting all pushy, saying they're from BT. Thing is, we don’t have BT at all. I told them to basically do one and then blocked the number.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with BT saying my internet isn't safe and I should turn on my computer. I just told her no and we had a bit of a back and forth before she hung up. Already had two calls like that in less than ten minutes!

Had a call from BT about my landline being disconnected-what a load of nonsense! I simply hung up.

I get tons of scam calls, way more than real ones, so now when I answer I just stay quiet. Usually, they end up disconnecting pretty quick. This time, I heard a faintly Asian-sounding woman say “Hello” before cutting off after a brief moment.

There was a lot of chatter from kids in the background and then a long silence before a bloke with what sounded like a dodgy American accent said, "Hey, how you going? I’m calling about your BT internet." We don’t even have BT internet, so we just hung up. The number called us twice - we missed the first ring but the number looked pretty much like one we know for real, so we answered the second time. Wouldn’t bother picking up if it rings again. Could’ve been someone from Asia pretending to sound American, but they definitely got caught out!

Got a call with no one speaking. I just left it hanging until the loud "off the hook" beep kicked in. Hopefully they'll get charged for keeping the line busy!

Got a call from a young asian bloke saying my BT internet was having issues. I said I don’t even use BT, so he just swore at me and hung up. I had to tell him he was just another clueless scammer, caught red-handed as usual.

It was a young Asian woman who called me. I barely got a chance to say anything beyond "hello" before I cut her off, thinking it was one of those scams. After seeing what others have said, turns out I wasn't wrong.

I got a call from a guy with an accent saying there was an issue with my BT Internet. Since I don't even use BT, I told him to stop calling me and blocked his number straight away.

I got a call from a polite sounding lady with an asian accent, claiming my internet was hacked or something. She kept going on about how BT had tried to contact me lots of times, which seemed like total rubbish. Then she tried to get me to give her access to my computer - massive red flag there. When I called her out, she got quite rude. Definitely a dodgy SCAM, watch out!

Some woman with an accent called me, saying my "BT internet was at risk" or something daft. I told her straight I knew she was making it up and hung up. Not long after, she phoned back asking why I'd cut her off! I said, "Because you're not with BT!" She kept insisting she was, like she thought I'd believe her! These scammers must think we're all daft. Gave her a few choice English sayings for good measure. Then she just ended the call. Honestly, how cheeky! Ah well, no harm done, I suppose.

I’m with all the folks before me on this one. Honestly, it would be quite amusing if it didn’t get on my nerves so much.

I got two calls from this number. I didn't pick up the first one, and when I finally answered the second, no one spoke. It was only my landline ringing, which I hardly ever use or give out to anyone, so I have no idea how they found it.

I wasn’t home today when these idiots rang me four times. If I had been, I’d have probably blasted my ancient bike horn into the phone to annoy them or switched up the telly volume so they’d be stuck listening to some dull political debate. What a waste of time!
