Some bloke said he was calling from Santander consumer experience, mentioned my PCP for a new car. Yeah, I got one for a Mazda. I was busy at work and didn't manage to chat much. Now I'm wondering if Mazda is sharing our info? Had a Nissan for three years and never got a single scam call. After seeing these comments, I’ve just blocked the number 🚫.

From what others have said, it seems like calls from Santander Consumer Finance are quite common. I didn’t pick up so I can’t say for certain it was them, but judging by the comments, it probably was. I just got a contract with them for a Mazda on PCP, so a call from them would be perfectly normal for me.

They claimed it was a survey from Kia Finance. I requested a direct phone number and a contact person so I could verify with Kia myself. All I got was the usual freephone number. Then they asked for my car’s registration. When I asked them what they had on record, they said they couldn’t share it because of data protection. I ended the call right there.
