Had another missed call from these lot today. Ive told them before to stop ringing me about smart meters but they just keep ignoring it. Im done now, going to switch my energy provider. If they cant even handle the simple thing of removing me from their call list, how can they be trusted with smart meters? This time im emailing a formal complaint and demanding to be taken off their lists, or ill report them for breaking GDPR laws. Its a joke they cant be bothered to train their staff properly or listen when customers say no thanks.

They claimed to be from EDF Energy and said I owed £2000, demanding a £1000 cash part-payment right away to avoid my electricity being cut off. They insisted I pay directly into their account or via Paypal. When I told them I don’t use Paypal, the guy, who sounded European, got really rude and started swearing. So I just told him to shove off.

Gave this number a ring earlier today but was a bit slow to answer. My phone showed it was getting a message, though there was nothing there. I attempted to hang up the call, but that didn’t work out, so I opted for the "block" feature on my BT8600. That appeared to cut the call short, but shortly after, the exchange's annoying alarm started blaring. In the end, I had to power down the base unit to silence the racket, thankfully it didn’t come back when I turned it on again. I’ve now made sure to block that number permanently.

Got a call from EON about the smart meter, but the bloke who came to fit it ended up cracking the supply pipe. Northern Gas had to quickly dig up the street to fix it. I ended up with a new inlet pipe and emergency stop valve instead. Honestly, not in any hurry to have the meter sorted now, if it even happens.

They rang me yesterday and again today but I just didn't pick up because I had no idea who was calling.

Got a missed call earlier, checked it here and turns out it was from Eon doing some marketing. Bit annoying since our number’s on the TPS list!

Got a call from Eon Energy again, super annoying marketing stuff. They keep bombarding people with these calls. If you've signed up for the TPS (Telephone Preference Service), definitely report them. It's a free service to block this kind of rubbish. And if you're not on the list yet, you really should register. Reporting these pesty sales calls can lead to the company getting fined, so it’s worth it.

I've had to block the number that kept calling about EON smart meters. Too many annoying calls from them lately!

I keep getting loads of calls like this and usually just let them ring through to voicemail as they tend to just hang up anyway. But today, something different happened - there was a weird foreign language message on the answerphone, probably by mistake, and it went on for about 10 seconds or something.

I haven’t picked up but they’ve rung both yesterday and today... With a death in the family recently, I really don’t need these annoying calls bothering me.

Got a call from some bloke claiming to be from Eon smart meters, sounded Irish. He mentioned he’d ring again another time. Since I’m not keen on having a smart meter, I’m gonna block the number.
