I had a rather unsettling experience today. A person purporting to be from BT reached out to me, asserting that my internet connection was experiencing some issues. They probed me about the devices I use with my broadband, which felt oddly intrusive. Their tone was quite forceful, almost aggressive, if I'm honest. What really took the biscuit was receiving five calls in quick succession-each time from a different number-within just 15 minutes. It felt like I was in the middle of a phone call marathon!

A bloke named Jason, supposedly representing Virgin Media, rang me up. He insisted that my account had been breached and if I didn’t follow his instructions, I’d be disconnected. He really wouldn’t take no for an answer!
