I let the phone keep ringing for a bit, then waited about 10 mins before dialing 1471 to find out who it was. The number showed up as 01722333645. My tip: If you don’t know the number, it’s best not to pick up. Legit callers usually leave a voicemail with a callback number. This was from the Hinckley area, FYI. Also, don’t rush to use 1471 straight away - the person might not have hung up yet! I’ve seen this number pop up a few times before.

I saw this number pop up and decided to check it here before picking up. Earlier the same day, I’d had a call from a nearly identical number from Salisbury. I answered, said hello a few times but no reply, so I just ended the call. That’s exactly why I ignored this one.

Got calls from someone called ‘Claim Management’ about a car accident that supposedly happened within the last couple of years. They rang me yesterday and again today.

Today I got a call from a blocked number telling me I’d been in a car accident that supposedly wasn’t my fault, which was totally made up! I’ve reported them to the TPS and blocked the number straight away.
