Got a call on my landline from 01722 331777. Picked up and the person asked to talk to ‘the owner’. I asked what exactly they meant, like owner of what? They just kept saying “the owner”. Told them if they want me to assist, they need to be clearer about who they want. Then they started shouting that they want to speak to the owner. I said sorry but couldn’t help, then they started swearing and being really aggressive so I just ended the call. Quite rude and felt a bit threatening.

I keep receiving calls from that specific area code, usually before nine in the morning. They ring and immediately go to voicemail, only to hang up. I can't shake the feeling that someone's fishing for my banking information. Just a heads up for everyone - take care out there!

Lately, our landline's been ringing before 9 in the morning from the 01722 area code. It’s definitely one of those cold calls and I’m pretty sure it’s some trick to scam money out of you. What’s weird is as soon as it switches over to the answerphone, they just hang up straight away.
