I got a call from someone calling himself Steven. He started speaking to me in Romanian but then switched to English, telling me there was something wrong with my computer. When I asked for his company name and number, he just hung up on me.

Got a call from some foreign woman on 017195550132 saying I was entitled to a refund for security software I’ve never even installed on my laptop. She was trying to trick me into letting her access my computer so she could supposedly give me £200 back. Yeah, right! I just ended the call straight away and blocked the number, no way was I falling for that.

Some guy with a foreign accent called me, said he was checking up on some security alerts from Microsoft software on my PC. I asked him straight up, “How do I know you’re not trying to scam me?” He said he’d prove it by telling me my computer’s licence number. But as soon as I asked him to say it aloud, he just cut the call. Bit suspicious if you ask me.
