This number keeps calling me all day and all night, saying I owe money from way back in 2008. Good luck with that because I’m not paying a thing. More than six years have gone by and nothing shows up on my credit report, so it’s definitely not my debt anymore. Have fun trying to reach me now, I’ve already changed my number.

#####SCAM ALERT########### My 11 year old son got loads of texts from people claiming to be debt collectors. They wanted a Rebecca Webber to ring them back at the number they gave, saying it’s about account 118499631. Definitely dodgy!

I let this ring out and it went to voicemail. The recorded message claimed to be from Amazon, saying I could cancel my Amazon Prime subscription by pressing 1 and talking to someone. I don’t even have Amazon Prime, nor do I use this number for any online services, so I knew straight away it was dodgy. This is the third time in a few weeks that this number has called and left the exact same voicemail. Best to steer clear and block it if you can.

I ignored the call, they never said why they were ringing so I didn’t want to give any of my info. After a bit of back and forth I just said goodbye lol. They mentioned sending me a letter so I asked if it was about my new house, they said yes. Then I said sorry, can’t share my address, and they just ended the call.

What a ghastly scam! Some chap with an American twang had the audacity to ring me up, claiming he was affiliated with HMRC. He went on about a supposed fraud case against me and insisted I had to cough up some cash. Absolutely ridiculous!

Bit odd, really. The phone had an English ring tone then suddenly changed to an American one. Weird, right? A lady answered and said she’d connect me to a chief officer. Then some guy with a really thick Indian accent said he was from HM Revenue & Customs. He kept going on about fraud and a warrant for my arrest. I just ended the call straight away cos I’m 100% sure it was an HMRC scam.
