Some bloke said he was calling from Vodafone, saying I’m out of contract and had some deals to sort me out. He even knew my name and which phone I use, so might’ve been legit. Then he asked for my postcode, house number and a 4 digit code, and when I couldn’t give it he wanted my memorable word. Felt dodgy straight away, so I asked if I could go in-store instead to sort it. He said I could, but wouldn’t get the special offers he had over the phone. That sounded off to me, like all offers should be available in person too. I told him I wasn’t happy with that and hung up.

Somebody called saying they were from Vodafone. They asked for part of my password or what my hobby was and also my address. I didn’t provide any details. Could be a scam, not 100% sure tho. Got an email from Vodafone the same day which might be dodgy too. The phone number was from India but the accent didn’t really sound Indian to me. How do these people even get your info?

Someone called claiming to be from Vodafone and wanted the first and last digits of my account pin. I didn’t feel right giving that info, so I looked up the number they were calling from (Rotherham). They kept saying it was a Vodafone number, but when I told them I couldn’t find anything linking it to Vodafone, I just ended the call.
