I've been plagued by this number ringing me incessantly - roughly five times a month. We decided to give the number a bell this evening, only to be informed that it was no longer in operation. These calls predominantly come through during the day, which is rather inconvenient since I'm usually at school. I heard about these offers for free boiler replacements. My boiler definitely fits the bill since it’s old and not very energy efficient. The grants mainly go to people with outdated boilers. But then there was a catch - you also need to meet a second condition. To qualify, you have to be receiving certain state benefits, and even then, not everyone on those benefits would get a free boiler.

Got a call from some bloke with a thick Indian accent saying they could hook me up with a free new boiler through a government deal. Sounded fishy to me, and as soon as I started probing a bit, he suddenly hung up. Definitely seemed like a scam.
