Got a call from a woman named Lorraine who was really pushy, asking if my mortgage was fixed or variable. She came across as quite aggressive, like she was trying to strong-arm me into giving details. When I mentioned she was being rather rude, she just got worse. I told her not to call back, ended the call, and blocked her number straight away. Honestly, if she rings you, just hang up straight away!

0161 7381 886 Is a scam for sure. The Mortgage Review Centre isn’t even active anymore. They’re also connected to Fresh Mortgaes, which is now in administration. Wesley Millington is the bloke behind these dodgy firms. They keep switching company names all the time. Plus, they’re linked to First Complete as well.

A woman called Georgina from something called the Mortgage Review Centre about our mortgage. We actually rent and dont have a mortgage at all. We are on the TPS list too. When I asked her how she got our info she got quite rude and ended up hanging up on me.

Got a call from some guy called Mark, asked him what he wanted and where he was calling from. Told him I couldn’t talk for my mum as she recently died, and asked to have our number taken off their list. Instead, he called me a f***ing b***h. Rang back straight away to get through to a manager - they said I was speaking to Keith. When I asked for details on how to make a formal complaint, I got cut off. Honestly, such a terrible company with rubbish staff who went on abusing me after losing my mum. This lot shouldn’t be allowed to keep running!

Got two calls in just a couple of days. They said they’d talked to me like two years back about a mortgage check-up. I told them I’ve never had any mortgage and she just hung up on me straight away. I’ve reported it to the TPS, which I’m signed up with.

Mortgage Review Place from Rotherham - Called again today. Lorraine mentioned we'd chatted last year and that I was on a fixed rate mortgage back then, so they were checking if it had ended and if they could offer any assistance. There was a bit of silence at first, then they claimed they were calling to go over my mortgage. When I asked why, they said I’d requested it. I told them no way, I never did. Then they said it was something I’d asked about a year ago! I asked why I'd need a mortgage review when I’ve been mortgage-free for a year now. Told them it was complete rubbish and not to bother calling me again.

I picked up a call from this number and got stuck with some robotic voice saying something about the review centre trying to reach me. It went on to say that none of their staff could handle my call or something like that. I just ended the call halfway through, didn’t feel like waiting for the whole spiel.

Absolutely disrespectful, this so-called "mortgage lender" claimed to have talked to my husband years ago. Yeah right. She started yelling at me about my husband's name like she actually spoke to him before. My husband barely answers the phone! I ended the call, then got another call from the same number just a couple minutes later. I told them to take our number off their list, and the person on the other end was really rude before hanging up on me. Got a call from some cold caller asking for a Katrina Scott. I've had loads of calls on my mobile from different places asking for someone I've never even come across before. Tried to tell this quite rude older woman on the line that no one's ever had this number under that name, and she just hung up after tutting really loudly. I called the number back and an automated message asked if I wanted to block their calls (I pressed option 1), and then the call disconnected. Fingers crossed that sorts it out.

Got a call from a really pushy lady who somehow already knew my name. She was trying to see if I wanted to remortgage like I supposedly did last year, which I've never even mentioned to anyone. Then she asked if my mortgage was all paid off. I didn’t feel comfortable sharing anything, so I just told her I wasn’t interested in remortgaging. Got a call from someone saying they’d talked to a neighbour on my street a couple of years back and wanted me to ring them back. They said it was about a mortgage review. When I asked how they got my number, they just said "Communication Avenue" but couldn’t explain who they were or what company they worked for. They claimed it came from some kind of survey but couldn’t say when or where it happened. Got put through to a manager who said she was new and the office had no internet. Sounds like absolute rubbish to me, just some random cold caller. Surely they’d need a computer to run this sort of thing? Anyway, I’m 65 and I’m convinced it’s a con. Total scam.

Got a call from someone saying they were from 'Your Mortgage Review'. A quite forceful older woman was on the line, pushing me to switch my mortgage to a lower interest rate because apparently rates are low at the moment. She barely seemed to know anything about me at first, but I did mention who my current lender is. She then asked why I was sticking with them when they supposedly charge high interest and suggested I consider Nationwide instead. I told her I was happy where I am and ended the call. Then the following week, another woman from the same company rang, saying basically the same thing. I told her it felt like a cold call, but she claimed I’d asked for a callback. She got quite rude and then just hung up on me. Seems like that attitude won’t do much good for gaining customers!

Got annoyed when I asked who he was but then called me abrupt for not giving him my name straight away. His phone manners were terrible. Some lady rang up trying to offer me a sweet deal on my mortgage, but I don’t have one cos I’m a tenant. I just let her go on n on while I was chillin watching telly. Honestly, she could do with a crash course called Spamming & Scamming for beginners or something.

Tried ringing the work line but as soon as I picked up with the usual business intro, they just cut the call. Might be best to just block it.

I got 6 calls from this number all within 2 minutes, the person on the other end was really rude and wouldn't listen at all. They were aggressive, threatening and acted quite nasty towards me and my husband after we’d just got back from work. They even said they were going to report me or something??? I've blocked the number now and I’m definitely reporting it to the TPS and Trading Standards. This is totally unacceptable!

Got a call from a really rude woman claiming I told her last year I was keen on mortgages. Weird thing is, I haven’t had a mortgage for over a decade. When I tried to explain this to her, she just cut me off and asked if I was even paying attention! I said no and ended the call. Seriously, TPS needs to step up and take action against these annoying cold callers.

My Tuecall device has blocked this number quite a few times now. Every time it rings, it asks the caller to leave a message, but there's never anything left. I’m guessing it’s some sort of scam, and that one good review here doesn’t seem genuine at all!

Called claiming to be from the Mortgage Review Centre. Told her I’m on the TPS, she then said my wife (using her first name!) had requested the call. Why would she? We haven’t had a mortgage for over a decade, nor any loans. TPS really is utterly useless!

Got a call from a lady with a Yorkshire accent, she knew my name and asked if she could speak to the homeowner. I asked who was calling first, and she said something about a Mortgage Review centre or summat like that. I told her I wasn’t interested in talking to them, she then asked why, I said I had my reasons but didn’t wanna chat, then I hung up.

Got a call from a woman about a mortgage, claiming I’d asked her to call me 6 months ago after an earlier chat. Told her she was fibbing, which she denied. She got all upset, we ended up shouting at each other, then she hung up when I kept talking over her.

Had a really friendly chat with a guy named Martin, he never asked me for any bank info or anything dodgy. He actually helped me get a much better mortgage deal and saved me more than £10k over 5 years. Proper good service. I’d for sure use them again.

I picked up this number but no one said anything so I put my phone on silent and eventually hung up. After some strange noises and beeps, a woman said she was going to check the call cause it had gone on for over a minute. Then another voice said the line was dead. Next thing I heard was a message saying "you’ve been disconnected from this conference call." What’s that all about? Who even are these people? And what’s their game? I’m an ex director myself and tps.
