I told them we dont have a mortgage and they just cut me off. They said they called last year about a 50/50 split Endowment and C&I or something. When I said that wasn’t true they snapped back with "so we lied then?" and then just hung up on me. Definitely a dodgy outfit, not connected to HBOS like they claimed.

Got a call on my mobile and they already knew my name. The person claimed to be from some Mortgage Review Centre. When I asked why they were ringing, I said I don’t have a mortgage. They said they wanted to see if I needed any financial help. I told them if I ever did, I’d use a proper company and then hung up. Blocked the number straight away.

Got a call from someone saying she was 'Lorraine', definitely one of those dodgy mortgage scams. Honestly, they should be proper ashamed of pulling stunts like this.

I was busy on a different call when this number came up. I tried to answer and tell them that, but had to end it straight away. Called back and got some automated American lady saying "Noone available to take your call." After reading the reviews here, I've gone ahead and blocked the number.

Received an automated call purporting to be from 'bank security'-quite vague, really. The message mentioned some dubious transactions on an unspecified account of mine. Got a ring from the Mortgage Review Company just now. It was pretty much the same as one I’d heard about dated 8/10/21. When I told them I wasn’t comfortable sharing any details, they hung up straight away. Seems like they're trying to fish for your info, so watch out and don’t fall for it.

She called me by my first name and said she was from 'the Mortgage Review Centre'. Claimed she was following up because we supposedly talked last year and I mentioned being on a fixed-rate mortgage, so she wanted to check if it had switched to variable now. Total rubbish - I never spoke with anyone like that; never given permission for a callback; and we don't even have a mortgage! Just ended the call straight away.

Got a call on Wednesday 19th May with a voicemail saying thanks for my Amazon purchase and that my card would be charged £399.99. They said if I didn’t authorise it to press 1. Don’t press anything! You’ll get connected to a bloke with an Indian accent who tries to fish for all your details. Just hang up straight away and don’t use your laptop or any device for a couple of hours. It’s a scam and they want to steal your bank info. I’ve blocked the number now.
