Got a ring from a woman, probably in her 40s or 50s, claiming to be from some mortgage review firm. She insisted I’d asked them to call me last year, which I honestly don’t remember at all. When I told her that sounded like a sales pitch and I wasn’t interested, she got pretty annoyed and just ended the call abruptly. These kinds of calls seem like they’re meant to catch people who might be easily fooled - honestly feels like something the police ought to look into.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Jass at Mortgage Review, saying they wanted to check my mortgage interest. They even knew my address and had been ringing me around the same time for a few weeks before I picked up today. Once I said I’d talk to my mortgage company myself, they just hung up. Pretty sure it was a scam.

Got a call from a woman who sounded about middle-aged claiming she was from a mortgage firm. She wanted to talk to someone in my family, which was strange cause my number isn’t linked to that person. When I asked where they’d got my number from and told her they should remove it because of data protection rules, she got quite rude. I just ended the call and blocked the number straight away. Seriously, if you get a call like this, don’t give out any details, just hang up and block them.

Turns out she was just a cold caller trying to scam me. Blocked the number right away - what a pain!
