I received a call from this number regarding maintenance work. The bloke on the other end was an Asian chap, not some automated voice. He was inquiring about repairs. You see, I had filed a complaint with a different council regarding someone else's repairs, so I was a bit sceptical about whether it was a legitimate call. It was rather strange since he wouldn’t disclose which company he represented or the specific address he was referring to. When I expressed my doubts and asked how I could verify it wasn’t a scam, he reassured me that I didn’t need to provide any bank details. Despite this, I remained unconvinced and mentioned a rather pertinent reason for the individual in question looking for alternative housing instead.

Got a call a moment ago from a number saying they were part of the "housing team", talkin about complaints made re damp and mould. Received a message regarding reaching out to tenants concerning some leaks in the building, which is rather amusing since the area code showed Rotherham and I’ve never set foot there. To top it off, they dialled me on my work mobile, which I just found absolutely hilarious!

I recently decided to have a bit of fun with their automated system. I made some odd sounds, and they promptly hung up after asking, “hello, is anyone there?” a couple of times. Blimey, some of the responses I’ve read here are priceless! I reckon I’ll definitely give that “the car crash where I met my demise” line a go. Or perhaps I’ll just label them as scammers to see how they react. I’ve been glued to YouTube, watching these brilliant folks confront scammers, even hacking into their cameras and alerting the authorities. It’s quite disheartening that India tolerates this sort of thing. What’s the point of sending them financial aid when they’ve got their own bloody space programme and still attempt to swindle us? Honestly, let’s hold off on giving them money until they sort themselves out. By the way, I’m not prejudiced; my wife hails from Bangladesh, and we crossed paths at university. I used to be involved with a group that hunted down Nazis and dealt with them. I’ve got zero tolerance for Nazis and bigots.

Looks like a call centre from around Peterborough to me, loads of numbers close to this one popping up here (same prefix, just the last digits change). They never leave a voicemail or any message, so no clue who they really are. I always ignore calls from numbers I don’t know.
