Got a call on my phone 25/01/21, they wanted to speak to my wife. I asked who was calling, they said it was from some insurance, Legal & General or something. Tried to talk to me but said data protection stopped them. Told them I was going to end the call and hung up. Feels a bit iffy, could be risky if you get involved.

Some bloke with an Asian sounding accent called, claiming he was selling life insurance. Kept asking if I had any current policies. When I asked why I should take him seriously as a cold caller, he kept pushing that he could offer me a better deal than anyone else. I told him I wasn’t interested and demanded he remove me from his list. Just as I was about to hang up, he kept nagging me to stay on the line. Ended up cutting him off and blocked the number straight away.

Got a call from a woman called Amy, sounded like she was in one of those busy call centres with loads of noise behind her. I had a rather peculiar experience on the morning of Thursday, the 1st of October 2020, when I received a call from the number 1704 524640, which appears to be local to Southport. I was tending to my garden at the time, blissfully unaware that my phone was ringing. It was only when I ventured back inside that I noticed the missed call recorded on my mobile. Given that I don't have any acquaintances in that part of the world, I decided against returning the call. For peace of mind, I took the precaution of visiting this website, only to find out, to my surprise, that there were suspicions of it being a scam. What’s truly unsettling is that she called my mobile using my work number, just after I had attempted to outreach a number in Stockport that, incidentally, is now out of service. Just a strange coincidence, or is there something more to it?
