Taking loads of cash off pensioners - proper dodgy scam!

Clearly a scam attempting to extract money from me. When I mentioned that the policy had already been settled, the bloke insisted that I had a legal duty to pay. Total charlatanry!

Haha, who's that green username popping up everywhere? He keeps dropping the exact same comment on every company page. Josh, is that you or what?

Nationwide actually blocked my father-in-law's card because I told them not to let any payments go through to that company or phone number. They tried taking money on two occasions, even though there was no call made to anyone about it. Cheers to Nationwide for sorting it out.

I got a call from someone claiming to be Logan Brook. He was telling me I still owe three years on some household contents insurance, which I'm pretty sure I've never signed up for. He asked for around £180, but I didn’t pay a penny. Now he’s saying the money’ll be taken from my MasterCard tomorrow. I didn’t authorise anything though, so I’m guessing it’s a scam.

Honestly, the funniest bit was when we gathered all the info. Feels like nothing can hold us back!

My elderly mum, who’s 78, got a call from someone at Lion claiming her insurance policy was due for renewal. She got fooled and ended up paying £189 for the year. Then, only three months later, they called again insisting she had household cover and demanded another £189. Luckily, I was with her and made it clear she didn’t have that cover. They kept pestering me on the phone non-stop, so I told them to cancel everything immediately. Then they had the nerve to say there’d be a cancellation fee! At that point I just hung up. Proper frustrating 😡😡😡

So this number belongs to Coverteam Direct at the moment, and they kept calling my elderly relative loads of times from a hidden number. It honestly felt like they were ganging up on them. They managed to take nearly £200, saying there was a 5-year service contract, but supposedly agreed to cancel it over the phone. Then just half a year later, they called again trying the same thing. Without my relative’s okay, they attempted to take money from their card, but luckily the bank spotted the attempt and stopped the payment, thankfully blocking the company from getting more money.

My mum's 90 and these annoying people keep ringing her about some insurance renewal she has no use for. Thankfully, she can’t use her bank cards anymore so they can't take anything from her. Honestly, these scammers should be put behind bars. I've already alerted trading standards about it.

My elderly father got tricked by Coverteam Direct Force into a supposedly 5-year appliance insurance deal. Then, half a year in, they called asking for extra payments. When we tried to cancel, they convinced us to switch to a one-year plan, claiming it would cancel the original 5-year one. But come 4 months later, they were ringin' again for more money. We ended up cancelling all bank cards and reported the whole mess to Action Fraud. Proper dodgy behaviour!

This number 01702662333, which belongs to Cover Team Direct, keeps ringing me. They’re really pushy and even a bit intimidating, trying to hard sell insurance to folks who might not even fully understand what they’re signing up for. Proper aggressive approach, not nice at all.

I got a call from someone saying he was Oscar Jones from Cover Team Direct. Somehow, I ended up giving out my card info. When I rang my bank, I found out they’d already taken £145 for supposed renewal fees. I feel proper daft for not being more careful. I only looked up the phone number after the money was gone.

The cover team got my mum again, sadly. They've tricked her before and now somehow pulled off another £198 scam. This time the guy called himself Adam North, which sounds totally fake to me. Absolute con artists, no doubt about it.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from the boiler insurance cover team. My mate gave her card info during the call, but thankfully Lloyds Bank spotted it was dodgy and blocked the payment as a fraud attempt.
