Received a rather dodgy call from a debt collection agency earlier. Quite annoying, to say the least!

Unreliable and dubious debt advisory service!

I'm not quite sure, to be honest.

I decided not to pick up, but as the call disconnected, I noticed the number flickered momentarily to a different one (028 8277 7021). Both numbers popped up in my call log, yet I only received one call—this just adds to my suspicion that it might be a scam.

I suspect they might be up to no good! They rang me, simply said hello, and when I responded, they hung up without a second thought. Quite dodgy if you ask me!

The call was from an unknown number, and the person on the other end didn't utter a single word.

This caller purported to represent my mobile provider but failed to specify which one. Sounds like a phishing attempt to me.

I had a call from this number just now. When I picked up, I greeted them with ‘hello’ three times, but they hung up on me! They tried ringing again almost straight away, but they cut the line before I had the chance to pick up. It’s likely a scammer, I reckon!

Persistent scammers trying to get a hold of you, best to ignore them completely.

I didn’t quite catch where the caller claimed to be ringing from, so I asked them to repeat themselves. To my astonishment, I was met with a barrage of offensive language—three vile terms in quick succession! The first started with a B, the second an A, and the most appalling of all kicked off with a C. As a woman, I was utterly shocked and revolted that such behaviour is still happening.

I received a call from a firm supposedly named Ortoo, but I’ve never come across them before. They were offering me a whopping 50% off my bill, citing the pandemic as the reason. I had my suspicions and mentioned that I believed it was a con, so I ended the conversation right there. Since then, I've yet to see any of the messages they promised to send my way!
