Got a call from someone claiming to have my bank number and asked me to confirm it. When I told them it sounded dodgy, they just quickly ended the call. Definitely a scam in my view.

My nan got a call from someone claiming to be from her bank, asking for her card info. Luckily, she's sharp as a tack and told them to jog on and not ring her back. When I popped over, I looked up the number and after seeing these reviews, I’m really pleased she didn’t fall for it and just hung up.

Yesterday (13/04/2018) I was out, and this number called me like seven times! Obviously, I didnt pick up. After reading the comments here, I just went ahead and blocked it straight away. Proper annoying lot!

Best thing to do is keep your phone close and watch the number when someone calls. If it shows as unknown, just ignore it. Sometimes scammers pretend to be from your bank or utility companies like gas or water. Don’t get tricked, it’s safer to just visit your bank in person and check with them. If you trust those calls, you might end up getting scammed.

Got two calls today. The first person butchered my name so badly I just said, “there’s nobody here by that name!” and ended the call. The second caller just waited for me to pick up, and when I didn’t, they hung up. I rang 1471 afterwards to check both numbers.

Got a call from some bloke claiming he was from the Telephone Preference Service. I've been signed up with them forever, so I knew something was fishy. I use a call blocker, so I just blocked the number straight away. Pretty sure it was a scam.

I've had four calls from this number today alone. Before that, I kept getting calls from a different number that would just end the call straight away. So, I got caller ID put on. While I was out, they called twice with about 10 minutes between each. Since half past twelve, they've buzzed me twice more but never bother to leave a voicemail.

I normally don’t pick up unknown calls but one time my lad grabbed the phone and said hello, and the line cut out right after. Still, they keep ringing over and over. Feels like one of those dodgy scams to me.

Got two calls today from a dodgy line, sounded like an Asian accent. I reckon the number was faked. They asked for Mr (my first name) and claimed to be from the Telephone Preference Service, checking if I still received nuisance calls. I said "every now and then," and then he asked again if my line was getting pest calls. I replied "few times," and then the bloke just hung up. Heard about scams where they record you saying “yes” and use it against you for fake loan debts. Definitely going to report this to Action Fraud.

They've been ringing non stop since morning. The line's so crackly and bad you can hardly hear a thing, but they keep claiming they're from the Telephone Preference Service or some phone company. Had to ask them to speak up loads of times coz it was so noisy. Just settled down for bed and bam, they call again. I answered with a harsh "Who’s this??" and they just hung up on me.

Got a call from a guy claiming to be from telephone preference management - he stressed it wasn’t a ‘service’ or anything. Told him straight up to remove my number and stop ringing me. He seemed a bit lost and didn’t catch what I said first time, so I said it again. Then suddenly he started shouting, so I asked why he was yelling at me and then he just cut the call. Strange behaviour!

They rang me twice earlier, asking to talk to the person who owns the house or the phone. When I said she wasn’t in and asked if I could pass on a message, they just ended the call.
