In just a couple of hours, my mum got called 8 times and they tried asking her for her bank details.

This number’s been ringing me non-stop for days, but never leaves a single message. I’m pretty sure it’s just another scam, yet there’s no proper way, as far as I can tell, for anyone official to stop these annoying calls.

Loads of calls supposedly from the Telephone Preference Service asking to confirm our name and address, and checking if we get loads of nuisance calls. Quite the joke really. I told them these calls are exactly the nuisance ones and to remove our number from their list. Clearly they never did, as we’re still getting pestered by them.

Over the last couple of days, got six calls from someone named Richard claiming to be from Telephone Preference Management in West London. He asked if I was still residing at the same place and whether I was still paying by direct debit, even wanted my debit card info. When I told him I didn't recall any earlier calls, he denied that he'd rang before and said he was actually calling from abroad. Said the whole point was to help cut down on annoying calls, which he said I had supposedly requested earlier.

I've had several calls from a bunch of similar numbers, all saying they're from some kind of phone preference service - one of them was 300035. Pretty clear it's a scam. Would be great if you could block it!

This number keeps ringing me, around ten times now. Sometimes no one answers, other times they ask for me by name before hanging up. Just had a chat with a bloke with an Asian accent who said he was from the Telephone Preference Service and wanted me to say when my Visa card runs out! I told him to buzz off straight away. He tried to argue, but I ended the call and said I’d be reporting the number. Totally clear scam!

Here we go again with those pesky cold callers! When I requested her contact number, she gave me 02036211316, but that's not the genuine one she was using. I've decided to take matters into my own hands and will be blocking both numbers via BT call protect from now on!

Today my elderly mum got called three times from this same number, asking if she'd received any nuisance calls. She’s aware they’re dodgy and just hangs up straight away. We’re definitely going to block them now.

Avoid Phone Preference Management fraudsters! They try to trick you into giving them your Sort Code, bank account details, and Visa debit card expiry date. Their story is that the PIN for their system is actually your Sort Code - watch out! I had a laugh and kept them talking for about 10 minutes just to waste their time.
