The message claimed that my internet would be severed unless I remained on the line to have a chat with their so-called technical team about some suspicious activity they'd apparently detected. Naturally, I decided to stay put and was connected to a woman who firmly asserted that their claims were indeed accurate. However, after a bit of a back-and-forth, she abruptly disconnected the call when I started to question her reliability. When I attempted to ring back, the line was completely dead.
