I was told by a mate to watch out for this sort of scam, so when a call showed up with an international code but the number looked local, I just ignored it and added it to my blocked list.

First, I caught some voices in the background talking in Hindi or something like that. Then a bloke on the phone switched to a sort of English accent, claiming he was from BT Openreach about my broadband. I didn’t bother chatting and just ended the call straight away.

this number rang me a couple of times, said they were from openreach but it’s definitely a con. best to just block it if it shows up for you.

Got a call from some bloke named “Patrick” who rang my old mum about an issue with her computer. He told her to turn it on, and when she said no, he got pretty angry and threatened to cut off her internet! Sounds like a total scam, watch out folks.

Called to mention an issue with the router but was pretty abrupt about it. When I tried calling back, couldn’t get through at all.
