this guy called claiming he was from BT, I asked him how long they'd been our internet supplier, and he hesitated before claiming about 50 years. I couldn’t help but laugh, which seemed to annoy him a bit. he then said "so what" and just ended the call.

I received a call from someone with a pronounced Asian accent, claiming that my broadband router was having issues and needed to report this to Openreach. He insisted that I switch on my computer so he could guide me through the problem. I knew better, so I promptly ended the conversation - the number was 01666 725583.

Got a call from a guy claiming to be with BT Openreach, said he was trying to boost our internet speed. The number showed up as international, which seemed odd. He asked to use TeamViewer, but when we asked if he was legit, he got quite rude and then just dropped the call.

Got a ring from someone claiming to be from “BT Openreach” today, sounded like they had an accent I couldn’t quite place. They said there was an issue with my internet and wanted to access my computer to fix it remotely - yeah right, like that’s gonna happen! I fired a few questions back, and then they just hung up on me! Proper cheeky behaviour if you ask me :)

Got a call from this number just after midday today, about 12:57. I said 'hello' but there was no reply. I’m really careful about who I share my number with, so that was odd. They just kept the line open for a few minutes before hanging up. Bit strange if you ask me.

someone phoned me saying they were from openreach. they claimed my router was infected or something and tried to trick me. the guy said his name was john wilson. seemed like a scam to me.

Got a call from someone saying they were with BT Openreach, but it was so clear it was a scam. When I didn’t pick up, they left about 4 minutes of nasty messages shouting and threatening. Proper dodgy!

Some bloke with a foreign accent called, claimed to be from BT Openreach and offered to sort out my internet issues. I told him I don't even have internet, and he quickly said sorry madam, must’ve dialled the wrong number.

i got a call from some guy called john wilson, said he was with bt and wanted to help fix my internet. i played along, kept chatting for about six minutes like i was interested. then i asked if he knew who he was actually speaking to, and he just ended the call straight away.

Like others have said, the caller said they were from BT. I just ended the call straight away.

I picked up and then they just cut the call straight away. Could hear loads of people talking in the background, sounded like a call centre.
