It felt as though I was listening to a pre-recorded spiel. It claimed I was on the verge of being apprehended for tax evasion and advised me to press 1 to speak to someone from my HMRC case team. Blocked it straight away!

Got a recorded call claiming to be from HMRC saying there’s a tax fraud warrant against me and to press 1 to talk to a Tax Fraud Officer, or else I’d be arrested. Pretty sure HMRC wouldn’t handle things through automated calls like that!
