I received a rather odd automated message claiming that £79.99 would be taken from my bank for the renewal of my Amazon Prime subscription. Quite peculiar, really, as I don’t even have an Amazon Prime account! It seems to me that this could very well be a scam trying to catch unwitting victims.

I've been getting these really irritating calls from a stranger who insists I’m someone else. I told them they must have dialled the wrong number, but they kept saying they weren’t mistaken. It’s quite frustrating!

Got a robotic call claiming to be from Amazon Prime, saying they'd renew my subscription at £39.99 a month unless I hit 1 to chat with someone. Sounds like a deal, right? But get this - just yesterday, they rang with a new price: £79.99 monthly! Proper rip-off if you ask me!
