Some bloke rang sayin he was followin up on a PPI claim I supposedly made. Then he asked why I hadn’t claimed any PPI yet. I told him I’m only 16 and he just went quiet and said sorry for botherin me. Seems like they just bought numbers from some dodgy source.

Got a call from these lot pushing PPI claims again. Thought the new data protection rules were meant to stop this sort of thing. Since the new laws came in, I’ve already had half a dozen of these calls! Reported them to the ICO (Information Commissioner’s Office) now, fingers crossed they get slapped with a fine for breaking the data protection rules.

The area code points to Port Talbot, so I looked up call centres nearby. Indeed[###] appears loads, so I looked up the company details on Companies House. XLARGE INDEED LTD, Company Number 10637075, is run by a Mr Peter Paul Adam, born October 1956, Austrian. He might be “Xlarge” for all I know, but the bloke’s involved in about 844 companies, which is mental. If Mr Peter Paul Adam sees this, fair play to you for the sheer determination in business and all these dodgy calls.

total scam, if you ring back the number, you get some automated voice with an american accent telling you to hold on, costing you a fortune just to wait for an agent who isn't even there. you get stuck listening to hold music for like 5 minutes then it just hangs up, draining your credit. honestly, this should be banned, it’s basically stealing and it’s everywhere now.
