Got a robocall claiming to be Barclaycard security. They said there were two dodgy transactions on my card from Amazon and Western Union. Then they told me to press 1 to approve, 2 to cancel, or 3 to listen again. I looked up the number afterwards and it’s definitely not one linked to Barclaycard.

Got a call saying it's from BT saying my account’s gonna be cut off due to some theft issue. They told me to press 1 to speak to BT. Didn’t trust it and just hung up. I’m planning to report this straight to BT.

Today, I received a couple of calls from this number. I’ve no clue who it might be, as they never bother to leave a message. My instinct tells me they’re likely up to no good, either trying to scam me or just another one of those bothersome cold callers. Either way, I’m completely ignoring them!

The woman on the line was really chipper and sounded American, thanking me for calling back. She said if I wanted to opt out, I should leave my name, phone number and postcode - but nowhere did she say which company she was from.
