I got a phone call but when I answered, there was just silence. Looks like they were checking if someone picks up, probably some sort of scouting call.

I got a call from someone saying they were with EE, trying to sell me an upgrade for an extra £30 a month. Thing is, I checked just a few days ago and I’m not even eligible for an upgrade right now. The caller’s voice was way too quiet, and their accent made it tough to catch what they were saying. I just kept them talking for ages, hoping to stop them scamming someone else. When I finally said, “You’re not really with EE, are you?” they just hung up straight away!

I picked up the phone but there was silence on the other end. I’ve gone ahead and blocked that number now. I’m pretty strict about not sharing info or dealing with cold calls. Better to be safe than sorry!

This time, the call started with them saying something about "heating and insulation."

Just got a call today (08/04/22) from the number 01633 906772. A lady with a strong Asian accent said something about a free home insulation deal from the government. When I told her I’m renting the place and don’t have any issues with insulation, she ended the call straight away. My number is on the Telephone Preference Service list - any genuine caller should honor that and not bother me like this.

I got a call the other day from someone with a strong Indian accent, sounded like they were in a busy call centre with loads of noise in the background.

There was a considerable amount of background chatter, making it quite evident that this was a phishing attempt. I noticed a significant pause before they joined the call, and the cacophony in the background was quite distracting. To top it off, the individual had a rather pronounced Indian accent.

They were really nice, but honestly, I couldn't catch a single word they said!

I just had a call from this number, and the person said they were from Dudley council. I questioned why they were contacting me since all the accounts are under my dad’s name, and then they abruptly ended the call.

Today I recieved a call from this number and my phone's security app immediately marked it as a scam. I wouldn’t pick up if you see this number pop up. Best thing is to either just ignore the call then block it, or hang up straight away and block.

I just got a text saying I could get government assistance to wipe out up to 80% of my debts. They said all fees and charges would be put on hold. It asked me to reply with 'help' for more details or 'stop' if I wanted to unsubscribe. Seems a bit dodgy to me.
