Someone rang up my mum, called her by name and all, then started asking if she’s still getting those annoying spam calls (can you believe some people!). Next thing, they tried to get her bank info, but luckily she’s pretty sharp and said she never shares that sort of stuff on calls. Then they passed her over to some “manager” who insisted, “we’re a legit business”!

Somebody rang with a foreign accent claiming to be from the telephone preference service.

No idea who it was and they didn’t leave a message, so it feels dodgy to me, like a scam or something.

They rang up saying they were from the telephone preference service and were doing some system updates. I said thanks for letting me know and mentioned I’d sort out my details online myself. Then they just went and hung up on me!

Some of these scammers have been really rude to me too. One bloke actually swore at me, told me to f*** off, and last week another just told me to be quiet. What’s BT and the Preference Service doing about this? I’ve had like half a dozen calls already today. I just tell them the police are watching my line and threaten to report them. It's driving me mad, honestly.

So got a call from these lot saying I had to renew to keep blocking those annoying calls - when they asked me to 'verify the digits on my debit card' I just said no and hung up. After that, the guy started getting really pushy and quite rude!

They've bothered me twice already today. The first time I gave them a fake sort code and account number just for kicks. When they called again, I told the bloke that his manager must be pressuring him to get my info so they can nick my identity. He didn't appreciate that, haha. After that, I just let him ramble on, kept quiet while he kept asking if I was there for a good couple of minutes until he finally gave up and hung up. These lot are scams pretending to be from Telephone Preference Services, trying to confirm your details. Third ring, I just ignored it.

For the past week, I've been getting loads of calls from these folks using different area codes every day. One day alone, I counted 13 calls from them. I just ignore them and tell friends to do the same. Honestly, the official TPS service doesn’t seem to do much good at all.

Been getting calls nearly every day for the past couple days, from someone with a foreign accent claiming to be from the telephone preference service. Really annoying!

Got called like 10 times from 0183240024 or 01629230026, not sure which for sure. An Indian lady answered but quickly ended the call when my voicemail kicked in saying the call was recorded. Then I asked her nicely to say her name again, but no luck.

This morning I got calls from 01629230026, looks like the same scammers as before when I got loads from 01832 400024 yesterday. They claimed to be from something like 'telephone preference management' and wanted a 'one off payment' taken from my debit card. Total scam, watch out!

Just got one of those calls again, it rang off and straight to answerphone with no one speaking. Really odd.
