There’s a couple posts from 23/03 explaining how to put an end to these scam calls. It’s a bit of a faff, but I’ve done it myself and keep reporting scam texts and calls to the police database (I’ve saved the address in my favourites). The thing is, it needs thousands of folks doing the same before any change really happens. Loads of people report scam calls here daily. I got a reply from my MP, which was kinda interesting, but honestly, it’ll take a lot more than one person raising this for things to move forward.

Someone called claiming to be from my bank and tried to get me to verify my account number and sort code. When I asked which bank they were from, they just ended the call straight away. Pretty sure it’s a scam.

Scam alert! Make sure you report any dodgy calls. Just search for ‘action fraud’ and head to the ‘police.uk’ website. Find the ‘report phishing attempt’ section and give the info a proper read. Afterwards, put in all the scam details straight onto their database, don’t forget to add any links or web addresses you spotted. This is the best way for police to get a clear picture of how widespread these scams really are.

Got a call claiming to be from Caroline, second time today. They asked me to confirm my name, address and phone number. Foolishly, I gave it to them, even though they seemed to know all the details already. I just had to say yes to what they asked. Then I ended the call.
