Caller said something about a "Red alert" but talked way too quick for me to catch properly. They mentioned I didn’t have to do anything, just that I could ring back if I wanted to stop the calls. I ended up blocking the number straight away on my phone.

It felt a bit dodgy to me, but I can understand how someone might fall for it.

However, I noticed that calling them would set me back 16 pence a minute, and they seem to keep you on the line to run the costs up.

Got a call earlier today, 11th Sept 2023, asking if I was over 65 and telling me I might be entitled to a free Tedalert alarm. Asked if they could send details by email, but the woman just gave me a website instead: www.tedalert.co.uk. It looks legit enough, but you can’t be too careful with all the scams about. Nothing comes free these days, so I’m just gonna block the number now.
