UTTERLY A SCAM!

I received calls from an unfamiliar number on several occasions, so I decided to investigate it. I've now added it to my blocklist.

Every time I pick up, they seem to just disconnect. It’s becoming quite a nuisance, to be honest; the phone rings incessantly only for the caller to drop out when I say hello.

Just as I was picking up, they disconnected. Gave me a ring last week too.

I received a pre-recorded message stating that there were no representatives available, and to dial a certain number if I wished to be taken off their list. I promptly ended the call and decided to block the number.

What a dodgy call I received! Someone rang me up claiming that I was eligible for a complimentary emergency button. Sounds like a con to me!

Just had a rather amusing call from the support centre with a CB postcode. They were keen to know if I qualified for a complimentary personal security gadget. Quite the cheeky approach, I must say!

It’s likely a tactic to pique people's curiosity into calling them back. Honestly, it never seems to end, does it?

I received a call from this number, which I didn’t recognise, so I chose not to pick up. They left a voicemail requesting that I get in touch if I wished to prevent future calls from them. No idea who they are, so I’ve gone ahead and blocked them!

A woman reached out to me, mentioning that I could qualify for an emergency call button. She just inquired about my age and verified my address. If it turns out that I do meet the criteria for this service, I should expect a call back tomorrow.
