This group claiming to be a Larry Grayson fan club called me, saying they wanted to fund a massive "Oooooh" statue in his hometown plus hand out free specs cords to all folks over 70. I mentioned I was more into Bruce Forsyth, and they suddenly switched gears, now asking for cash to build a huge golden "chin and wig" statue near TV HQ. Seemed fishy to me, cos when I joked about sending photos of Isla St Clair's backside (which I'd snagged from Jimmy Tarbuck ages ago - thought they might flog them to raise money), they instantly lost interest. Honestly, best to just let these calls ring off.

Terrible English for someone with such a typically British name, haha. It was a UK firm offering PPI help, but the call quality was awful, barely catching a word they said. When I told them I didn’t have PPI, they just hung up on me. Definitely sounded like they were based abroad.

BEWARE 01619746967 - A mate of mine got the same call, passed it to his colleague who ended up giving away all his bank deets. They asked him to confirm his Santander password and he obliged. Next thing you know, they emptied his entire life savings of £7000 from his account. He told me the whole convo nearly exactly like this caller did to me, thats why I just hung up. Like my friend said, they sound really convincing, so don't be fooled. These scammers are proper actors with zero shame. They use loads of 0161 numbers, so watch out!

They ring me every single day, using different names but I can still tell it’s the same people from the voices. They’re always asking for my daughter but can never say her name properly. I just say no when they want to speak to her. Sometimes I leave the phone off the hook and they’ll keep chatting for a bit before realising no ones there.
