Got a call from Robin at YZ Solutions saying there’s some unpaid fees from an accident. Complete nonsense and nothing to do with my insurance claim at all. It’s obviously a scam meant to scare folks. How come these people are allowed to use my phone like this? The citizens advice site has some useful tips on how to block spam calls and what legal steps to take if this happens to you. Robin, seriously, find a real job and stop bothering innocent people.

Yeah, ive had loads of calls the last few weeks, always from the same area code but different numbers all linked to one company. The bloke says he’s Nathan from NZ Solutions, asking about some accident and says I should get compo, just need the number plate of the other person involved. They reckon there’s cash waiting to claim even though nobody got hurt. Feels like a complete scam and honestly, it’s really annoying. Most times they just cut the call off.

They just keep ringing me. I tried to block them through BT call protect but it wouldn’t let me. When I rang BT, they said the number isn’t recognised. It’s not just annoying, it feels a bit dodgy too.

This number belongs to some kind of ambulance chasing lot. I keep getting calls from someone asking about a car accident I had last year, ringing me nonstop. Blocking them doesn’t help at all since they always call from a new number. Proper sad bunch, honestly, they should get a real job.

No claim was ever made since it was a hit and run, and the car was abandoned. Still, they keep ringing and bothering you no matter what you say or try. 01619746955 called me again about a road accident. First time they said £3000 set aside for my injury, then another call said £1500 available. The man insisted he's not lying and said I’m 35 years old. He claimed if I don't make a claim, the calls will keep coming because I'm on a list of people who haven’t claimed yet. He said to stop the calls, I should let them handle my claim. I’ve had about 8 calls and they seemed quite surprised when I told them I’m not short of money and don’t need a small amount like £3000. That seemed to throw them off. Thanks for this site!

Got loads of calls from this number or ones like it, saying theres some compensation cash waiting for me cause of some accident. They mentioned my name would stay on a "list" for like two and a half years, but wouldnt really explain much, only that theyd make sure i get taken off eventually. [Obviously, that didnt happen.] I called my insurance broker, who told me not to give any info about the accident and just to ignore the calls altogether.

Got loads of these calls. They warned me I'd be bugged for years, so they suggested I just claim I had whiplash and grab the cash (even tho I never had it). Absolutely disgusted with this. They said since I’d paid insurance for ages, I might as well treat it as a bonus! No surprise our premiums keep going up. This is a proper legal ripoff and something needs to be done about it.

This number has rung me loads, saying I could get compensation for an accident when I was injured. I told them I wasn't anywhere near the place or even the same area when it happened. Didn't faze the caller at all, so I just told him to bugger off as I’m not into those dodgy ambulance chasers. He clearly didn’t get what that meant. Still, I’ve had about four or five more calls after that. Now I just pick up, say it’s a landline or mobile, then leave it unanswered for a bit so they end up paying for their time.

A firm keeps ringing me saying there’s cash waiting from an insurance firm over an accident I wasn’t involved in. Even though I keep saying I’m not interested, I get like 3 or 4 calls daily, sometimes just minutes apart. They switch up the last few digits on the number (always start with 0161 974), but it’s still the same lot. Proper harassment. The callers are really pushy and quite rude too. Honestly, they ought to be shut down or face legal action.

Over the last few months, I've been getting calls from total strangers. I've had to block about 9 numbers that all seem to be connected (and I don’t even live anywhere close to Manchester). When I do answer, they don’t say much apart from "can I speak to" or "we are chasing a compensation claim" - it’s supposedly about a claim after a road accident involving my daughter. I've gotten loads of calls, usually they hang up just as I pick up, probably some automated system. One time they said something about Robin YZ Solutions. Got a call from some insurance claims company who already knew I'd been in a crash with someone in the car. They wanted the passenger's name and phone number because apparently there was some money set aside for them to claim. I’d already given all that info to my insurance when it happened. I was barely moving, about two miles an hour leaving a car park, and I just grazed a big plant pot that was sticking out. Honestly, my passenger wasn’t at any risk at all!

yeah, i’m with the others here. got a call about an accident i was in, they said cause i wore a seatbelt, i qualified for some kind of claim because of the muscle pain from braking suddenly. i played along just to see what info they had and most of it was pretty spot on. since i’m in scotland, they said they’d pass me to a scottish solicitor called jackson boyd. honestly, it all seemed a bit dodgy, and those solicitors really ought to be thinking about where their dodgy leads are coming from.
