Earlier today, I received a call from a rather dubious-sounding woman who purported to be affiliated with an agency that goes by the name Accident Investigation Department or something along those lines. It's quite a notorious scam, really, and I'm sure it won't take much for others to spot the red flags.

On Friday, this number, 0161 974 G535, rang me three times about some ‘minor accident’ supposedly from the last year. I told them straight up I hadn’t been in any accident and asked them not to ring again. Yet, on Saturday morning, they called me around 10 more times! I only picked up on the 41st try and asked the caller for his full name and the company he’s with, warning him I’d be reporting them. After that, he got rude and just hung up on me. It’s mad that we still get these annoying calls even now in 2020.
