So, this guy said he was handling accounts for EDF and tried telling me my contract was up in September. I’m certain it’s not until 2025 since I recently renewed straight with EDF. He insisted the system was right but I wasn’t having it. The bloke, Tom, came across as really cocky and rude. Just watch out for them, definitely a scam.

Had a guy named Josh give me a ring about switching my electricity deal. He seemed genuine and polite, you could tell he was pretty young but he was well professional and knew his stuff. Ended up getting me some decent rates, so not a bad call at all.

Earlier today, I got a call from 01619745165 where the person said they were from SSE, but then also claimed to be with Haven Power. Seems like both claims are dodgy and might be coming from the same scam call centre. Pretty suspicious if you ask me!

They called me offering to switch my home utilities, saying they had better deals than what I was paying. At first, they seemed really friendly and told me to write everything down. But honestly, I found way cheaper prices just by looking online myself. Plus, they sneak you into a three-year verbal contract that's a nightmare to cancel. In the end, it ended up costing me more instead of saving money like they promised. Be careful about what you agree to and what you say on the phone.
