Said they were from the gas or electric supplier trying to get me to renew my deal. Turns out they’re just middlemen and honestly I found them really pushy. Spoke to a very unpleasant woman too. Wouldn’t recommend!

I got a call from ecosave gas and power pretending to be SSE, the number 0161 9745165. It reminded me of another call I got that same day from a different supplier with a very similar number. They were trying to tell me I had a contract with them which was a total lie because I’ve never dealt with these lot before. Looks like they’re trying a dodgy scam to get people to sign up for something they don’t have. Absolute rubbish!

Got a call from someone saying they were with SSE, sounded like they were calling from a busy call centre and had a British accent. The number looked a lot like 01619745184, which also phoned me the same day pretending to be from Haven Power. The whole thing felt fishy to me because the caller didn’t even seem to know whether I had an account with them or not - so I reckon it was a scam.
