I picked up because I thought it was someone from Manchester calling. It was a woman with an Indian accent who spoke really broken English. She started talking about some debt we supposedly had but I couldn’t follow what she was saying at all. In the end, I just ended the call.

This caller was very annoying and kept ringing over and over, it felt quite harassing really.

They said they were from some debt collection agency pushing a fake government programme. The bloke sounded about as excited as I was, which was not much, especially when he told me I’d been picked out for this dodgy offer. What made me laugh was how helpful he got - right until I told him I didn’t owe a penny. After that, they kinda struggled to end the call quickly. Honestly, it was quite entertaining messing about and wasting their time.
