3 yearsI've had a similar encounter to what others have described. They purporting to be representatives from O2. They inquired about my satisfaction with their service and then proceeded to dangle a tempting offer of a 30-40% discount for loyal customers. I made it quite clear that I wasn't comfortable discussing anything further over the phone due to the uncertainty of their identity. The call quality took a nosedive - it sounded like a packed call centre with a cacophony of chatter in the background. I mentioned that I was struggling to hear her, and she promptly ended the conversation.O23 yearsGot a call from some Manchester number I didn’t recognise. Didn’t leave a voice message or anything. Looks dodgy, probably a scam. Blocked it straight away.Manchester3 yearsDefinitely a scam, watch out!3 yearsThis is just another fake call pretending to be from O2, but it’s actually a scam from some other network. A few friends of mine got calls from the same number. Best thing is to just ignore it and let it ring until it stops. Don’t even hit decline, cause that just lets them know your phone is live and they’ll keep bugging you. Stay safe!3 yearsGot one of those quiet calls today. I kinda thought something was off, and this page just proved I was right.3 yearsGot a call from some Indian call centre pretending to be from O2, which isn’t even my network. When I asked how they’d got my number, they just wouldn’t say. Definitely a scam - don’t share any of your info with them!3 yearsGot a missed call from this number, rang back but no one answered. Strange!3 yearsGot a call from an Indian lady claiming there's an iPhone 14 deal with O2. Spoke to O2 and they confirmed it's a total scam. Watch out!3 yearsGot a call from someone with an Indian accent claiming to be from O2, saying I could get a 30% discount. Sounded a bit dodgy to me.3 yearsRang me but didn’t bother to leave a message... just another spam call, I reckon!3 yearsReceived a call claiming to come from O2, offering me a tempting 30% discount as a token of appreciation for my loyalty. They requested my details for confirmation, which I flatly declined. They then insisted on revealing the information they supposedly had, wanting me to verify its accuracy. Once more, I said no and pointed out that if they were genuinely offering a discount, they could simply apply it without needing my consent. They attempted to persuade me to comply with their verification process, but I stood my ground and stated I'd rather head to an O2 branch directly. Despite my firm refusal to share any personal information over the phone-considering they already possessed it-they persisted in urging me to continue. Eventually, they hung up, revealing their true colours as a scam. Disgraceful behaviour, really!3 yearsI received a dodgy call from someone claiming to be associated with O2, trying to peddle fake mobile phone deals. It all seemed a bit fishy, and I suspect they were just after my banking details. Can't trust these sorts at all!3 yearsI've discovered that this particular landline number is actually active and used on a daily basis, yet it seems to be hijacked by scammers. When the unfortunate soul on the other end picks up, these fraudsters launch into their con. On the flip side, if the call goes unanswered, the legitimate owner of the number ends up baffled when callers return their missed call, completely unaware of the confusion. It appears that Sky's brilliant solution was to disconnect the line for an entire week! These scammers really must be put to a stop.Sky3 yearsThey said they were offering deals on mobile phone plans or something like that!3 yearsGot a call from a number I didn't recognise, thought it might be some sort of spam.3 yearsClaimed to represent EE, yet they couldn't provide any of my information. Then they proceeded to ask for my bank details. Seeing as EE already possesses my details, I quickly realised it was nothing more than a scam.EE3 yearsReceived a call from someone pretending to represent O2, claiming they could provide me with a 40% discount on my bill. However, the moment I mentioned I would verify their phone number, they abruptly ended the call. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!3 yearsI've received a dubious call from folks pretending to be from Vodafone, insisting I confirm my personal information. Quite amusing really, considering I've been a loyal customer of 3 with the same phone number for over two decades now!
