Something similar happened to me too. The caller said they were from O2 and wanted to check if I was happy with the service. Then they went on about a discount of around 30-40% for loyal customers. I said right away that if they needed anything from me, I’d only deal with it in person or through my official O2 app, not on the phone, since I couldn’t be sure they were legit. The connection then went rubbish, loads of background noise like a noisy call centre. When I said I couldn’t hear properly, the woman just hung up straight away.

Got a call from some Manchester number I didn’t recognise. Didn’t leave a voice message or anything. Looks dodgy, probably a scam. Blocked it straight away.

Definitely a scam, watch out!

This is just another fake call pretending to be from O2, but it’s actually a scam from some other network. A few friends of mine got calls from the same number. Best thing is to just ignore it and let it ring until it stops. Don’t even hit decline, cause that just lets them know your phone is live and they’ll keep bugging you. Stay safe!

Got one of those quiet calls today. I kinda thought something was off, and this page just proved I was right.

Got a call from some Indian call centre pretending to be from O2, which isn’t even my network. When I asked how they’d got my number, they just wouldn’t say. Definitely a scam - don’t share any of your info with them!

Got a call from someone with an Indian accent claiming to be from O2, saying I could get a 30% discount. Sounded a bit dodgy to me.

Received a call but no message was left... definitely sounds like spam to me.

I got a call from someone claiming to be O2, saying I could get a 30% discount for being a loyal customer. They wanted me to verify my information, but I wasn’t having any of it. Then they said they’d read out the info they had on me and I just had to confirm it was right. Still, I declined and asked why they couldn’t just apply the discount without needing my permission. They kept trying to convince me to go along with their ‘checks’, but I told them I’d just pop into an O2 store instead. They kept pushing for the info, but I refused to share anything over the phone since they already had my details. Eventually, they just hung up on me. Definitely sounded like a scam, proper shady behaviour.

I received a dodgy call from someone claiming to be associated with O2, trying to peddle fake mobile phone deals. It all seemed a bit fishy, and I suspect they were just after my banking details. Can't trust these sorts at all!

This number is a genuine landline that's used daily, but somehow scammers have managed to hijack the routing. When someone picks up, the scammers carry on with their trick. If there's no answer, the person seeing the missed call rings back, ending up speaking to the real owner of the line, leaving both sides pretty baffled. I heard Sky’s solution was just to cut off the landline for a whole week! These scammers really need to be stopped.

They claimed to be calling from EE, but they didn’t have any of my info. Then they asked for my bank details, which instantly made me suspicious because EE already has all my information. Definitely felt like a scam to me.

Someone called saying they were from O2 and told me about a 40% discount deal. As soon as I mentioned I’d check their number myself, they just ended the call. Bit suspicious if you ask me.
