Had a call from someone saying they were from HMRC out of Cardiff, proper scam that was. I got in touch with Action Fraud here in the UK and they explained these fraudsters can dig up your private info, even from the electoral roll! Honestly, I was shook and worried sick. They said the police would be there within 20 minutes and warned me I could end up doing 3 years inside if I got caught. This all happened up in Northern Ireland. Something really needs to be done about this!

Received a couple of calls from this number, one on the 28th and another just today, the 29th September, here in Tayside, Scotland. I'm a 74-year-old widow, and luckily I didn’t fall for their nonsense. It’s quite frightening, as the automated message claimed they were taking me to court! My worker and his wife got a phone call from this number, with someone pretending to be from HMRC. The guy was extremely pushy and rude, threatening to sue and freeze their bank accounts. At about 5.04pm I let it ring, but there was a voicemail on my answerphone. The message said something like "HMRC is taking legal action against you. Press 1 now to talk to your case officer. Cheers." The voice sounded robotic, like it was made by a computer. You could tell from the weird pauses and strange tone. Definitely a scam.
