I received a call from someone who said they were representing a life insurance firm. They insisted they needed to "assess" my life insurance policy, but I decided to hang up instead.

Honestly, i wish the courts see what people are saying about these companies and slap huge fines on the bosses, and maybe even lock them up. They just keep breaking the rules the government put in place, it's about time they got punished properly along with all those who make the calls. This nonsense has to stop.

I picked up thinking it was someone I was due a call from, since it was an 0161 number. The woman on the other end claimed to be from some kind of claims company. I told her to take my number off their list because it felt like a typical call centre and I wasn’t interested at all. She snapped back, saying I didn’t even know what she was selling so how could I say no. I just kept it polite and ended the call there.
