I just received a rather alarming automated call claiming that HMRC is on the verge of taking legal action against me! My heart nearly leapt out of my chest, but then I reasoned that HMRC would typically send a formal letter and clearly identify the person involved, rather than phoning out of the blue. Definitely a SCAM!
